Regulation 14 Explained

"Local Authority fined £15000 after pupil seriosuly injured in glass accident"

Film2GlassScotland are suppliers and installers of specialist window films for local authority building, museums, fine homes, offices and retailers.

A requirement by law is that the occupier (not the owner) of a building is responsible to ensure that all relevant and existing glazing is made safe. This legal requirement is known as Regulation 14 and states that all glazing in commercial buildings is made impact-safe.

Regulation 14 states :

 All windows and glazed areas must be protected against breakage
 Safety glazing must meet BS 6206
 Clear glazing in critical areas must be marked to avoid people colliding with it.

Health and Safety Film / Regulation 14 Film is by far the most cost efficient solution to bringing unprotected glazing up to the BS 6206 legal requirements. It normally costs around a quarter of the price of having existing glass removed and takes a fraction of the time to supply and fit. To enable you to identify glass in critical areas we can supply and fit frosted, coloured or patterned Health and Safety / Regulation 14 Film.
